FORT HOOD- About 500 people filled the Spirit of Fort Hood Chapel Saturday to mourn the death of Brig. Gen. Terence Hildner, who died of apparent natural causes in Kabul, Afghanistan on February 3.
The former commanding general of the 13th Sustainment Command leaves behind a wife, four children and his parents. Family, friends and remembered Hildner during the memorial ceremony as a compassionate person and an excellent leader.
Hildner, the highest ranking United States soldier to die in Afghanistan, will be laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery on February 29.
